Cast iron with lamellar graphite
This is not only the oldest iron-based cast material, but also the one most widely used to this day. Much of the carbon solidifies as graphite in lamellar form when cast.
The advantages of our centrifugally cast iron are excellent damping properties, good thermal conductivity, outstanding antifrictional properties, good resistance to wear and corrosion and an extremely high compressive strength at the various tensile strength ratings to which the material may be adapted.
Furthermore centrifugally casting considerably advances fatigue strength values.
We regularly have our materials and production processes certified. Please find some of our certificates to download on the left.
